Master Gardener Volunteer Training

University of Wisconsin-Extension is offering people who are interested in plants the opportunity to become Master Gardener Volunteers. UW-Extension Master Gardener Volunteers are trained in a wide range of horticultural topics via a multi-session training courses held on-line.
The course work prepares participants to help others in their community by assisting with horticultural projects and demonstrations, answering plant care questions, or many other ways.
All area residents are welcome to be a part of this opportunity to grow in your own horticultural knowledge and share those skills & knowledge with others.

Learning Opportunities:
“Plant Diagnostics: The Step-by-Step Approach to Identifying Plant Problems” is an online, self-paced course from Extension designed to introduce you to the process of plant diagnostics. Get ready for this year’s growing season by gaining a deeper understanding of pest identification, insect and wildlife damage, plant diseases and disorders, and strategies to keep your plants healthy and thriving.
Registration for the general public and commercial professionals is open until Feb. 3, 2025. An Early Bird registration discount is available until January 21, 2025 at a rate of $99. The regular registration rate ($119) is in place Jan. 22-Feb. 3, 2025. Active Wisconsin Extension Master Gardeners are eligible for a special discounted rate of $49.
